About Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking / Ghorepani Trek / Poon Hill Trek
Probably, this trek is the most admired trek among all trekking routes of Nepal. And this trek is a well suited soft trekking for people who are willing for real mountainous experience within short duration. After a short driving to Nayapul (New Bridge) from Pokhara, this trek passes through the old and traditional village of Gurungs and Magars and slightly goes up to a hill station called Tikhe Dhunga and just after crossing the river, for a hour this trek goes rapidly up and starts to explore aound delightfully thicked rhododendron jungle.
Poon Hill, the most magnificent viewpoint from lowest elevation might be the first attraction of the whole Ghorepani excursion where you can see fabulous views of himalayan snow caped mountains in 360 degree landscape with sunrise over Annapurnas and Dhaulagiri ranges. This trek can be done throughout the year devoid of any suspicion.
