Swoyambhunath: The tour will start from Swayambhunath; also known as ‘Monkey Temple’ among tourists. Swayambhunath is one of the most popular holy sites for Buddhist people all over the world. This area is inhabited by lots of monkeys and that is why the area is called Monkey Temple by tourists. Swyambhunath is a holy place situated on the top of the hill on the west of Kathmandu valley.
Pashupatinath Temple: After Swayambhunath, we will continue our tour to Pashupatinath. Pashupatinath is the biggest and most popular Hindu holy temple among Hindus, mostly in Nepal and India. This is a popular temple located on the bank of the Bagmati River in Kathmandu valley in the east of Kathmandu. Only typical Hindus are allowed to enter the main entrance of the Temple. Pashupatinath Temple is one of the oldest temples in Kathmandu.
Bouddhanath Stupa: Bouddhanath is another most popular and sacred Buddhist stupa in Kathmandu valley. This holy place is popular among Buddhist people all over the world. This stupa is located in the North-East of Kathmandu valley. The stupa’s massive mandala makes the stupa one of the largest stupa in Nepal. The Bouddhanath area is inhabited by Tibetan refugees for a long time.
Kathmandu Durbar Square: Finally, we will conclude our tour to Kathmandu Durbar Square; one of the most advanced sites in Kathmandu. Kathmandu Durbar Square gives you a spectacular example of the Tradition architecture of Kathmandu Valley. The whole palace is crafted with amazing crafts by the typical people of Kathmandu Valley; Newars. This palace was originally a royal palace before the royal family moved to another palace. Another characteristic of the palace is the only ‘living goddess of Nepal. Every year there is a celebration in the palace during the Dashain festival with the ‘Virgin Living Goddess of Nepal’.
